Wedding FAQ

Do you do both hair and makeup?

Yes I offer both wedding hair and wedding makeup mobile service however you can book me in to do just your wedding makeup if you already have your favorite hairdresser.

Are you a mobile service?

Yes! I come to you no matter the destination.

What regions do you service?

I service all of Sydney including; Outer western Sydney, Inner West, South Sydney, North Sydney, South West Sydney, North western Sydney and the Eastern suburbs. I also travel as far North as the Hunter Valley and Central Coast and as far South as Kiama. However please feel free to ask if your location is not listed and we will make an assessment on a per case basis.

Do you travel nationally and internationally?

Yes! I am now based in Sydney however I fly back to QLD all the time and service all of South East QLD and am happy to travel throughout Australia upon consultation. I am also available for international weddings, offering a flexible and tailored destination service.

How far in advance do I need to book a trial?

I recommend booking anywhere from 6 months or more in advance so that you can secure the wedding date. I always take photos at the trial and fill out a face chart with all the products used. If you happen to change your mind about makeup/hair we can easily modify it on the day.

How many people can I bring with me to the wedding trial?

You are more than welcome to bring a person that you trust to help you decide (i.e. mum or sister or best friend!) It is often a good support to have someone that can be vocal for you.

How long does a hair and makeup trial take?

A trial usually takes roughly 3hrs. I allow 1 ½ hours for wedding hair and 1 ½ hours for wedding makeup. It can sometimes take longer depending on the style you are having. I like to try out a few ideas and make sure you are 100% happy with the look we have created for you.

What do I need to bring to a hair and makeup trial?

I always ask all my brides to bring in any images they have of makeup and hair they love. It can really help explain what type of look you are after and will help me to get an idea of the style you like. Also if you have a picture of the dress, bridesmaid’s dresses and bouquet/floral arrangements, this will give me an idea of the theme and colours used throughout the wedding and will enable me to choose the correct colour palette to compliment this.

You can check out my Pinterest page and Facebook for inspiration images for hair and makeup if you are finding it difficult to find something you like.

How should I prepare my skin for my consultation?

If possible, wear no makeup or minimal makeup, as it can be hard to remove all makeup before a trial. Ideally come to your trial with a clean exfoliated and moisturised face. If you are having a hair trial as well please make sure your hair is clean and dry.

How long will my makeup application take on the day?

I always allow 45 minutes per makeup and 1 hour to be spent on the bride. I also allow 30 minutes at the end to apply lips for all the bridesmaids and for any touch ups.

Do I do hair or makeup first?

I always like to do hair first as this gives it time to set if it needs to be curled and so that your makeup compliments your hair and looks as fresh as possible before your special day!

Do you offer false eyelashes and is it extra?

Yes I offer false eyelashes either individual or strip lashes and no there is no extra cost involved.

What happens on the day?

Once we have done the trial I will discuss with you the timings on the day for example; ceremony time, how long does it take to get to the ceremony from where we are getting you ready, what time the photographer is arriving etc. I will then email through to you a schedule for the day with start times and time slots for bridesmaids hair and makeup.

How do I secure a booking with you?

Once the trial is finished and you are 100% happy with your hair and makeup look. I require $190 deposit to secure your wedding date; this deposit is then deducted off the total amount due. Full payment is required no later than one week before the wedding date; this can be transferred via direct debit into my business bank account.

Do I get my deposit back it I decided to cancel my wedding date?

Deposits are Non-refundable / Non -Transferable / once your deposit has been paid you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of your quote. If someone in your wedding party cancels their service, the balance will remain the same.

How long will you hold my wedding date after the hair and makeup trial?

Normally dates are booked well in advance of the wedding date. I will hold your wedding date for 48hrs after the trial – after which time the date becomes available to others. On most occasions I usually take the $190 deposit after the trial to secure your wedding date.

What methods of payment do you take?

For trials cash on the day or a bank transfer before the trial. Payment for makeup on the day has to be transferred 1 week before wedding date.

Any other questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call or email me. I am always happy to have a chat.
